The renowned cardiologist Dr. Samuel Achilefu commented on the sudden death of the idol of millions, Mary Achieng, on the «The Dr. Samuel Achilefu Show» program.

Let's remind you that the cause of her death was a brain tumor and cardiac arrest. The actress and presenter could have lived longer and continued to delight us with her creativity.

We all witnessed Mary Achieng's condition: dark circles under her eyes, poor sleep, nervousness, headaches... a real walking dead! I'm warning everyone right now! There are hundreds of thousands of hypertensive people like her in the country, but they don't talk about it on television. Instead, they talk about the coronavirus everywhere!

The statistics are shocking! The epidemic has claimed 25,000 lives, but during the same period, nearly 500,000 Ugandans have died due to vascular and heart problems.

And what's most ironic and sad is that 99.87% of severe Covid-19 cases are in people with vascular diseases. With high blood pressure. With heart problems. If they didn't have these conditions, they could have had asymptomatic cases. But they are the primary risk group. And again, no one talks about this because it immediately raises the question: «What are you doing to treat people's blood vessels and hearts?»

A renowned cardiologist and surgeon in both Uganda and the United States. He is an inventor, a leader in the organization of medical science, and a professor. He is an academic member of the Academy of Sciences of Uganda (2011) and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Uganda until 2013. In Uganda, hypertensive individuals have two options: to be deceived by pharmacies and advertisements or to deceive themselves with Losartan and Enalapril, may they be cursed!

Due to the influence from the advertising industry, treatment of patients these days only means getting rid of symptoms instead of fully restoring people's health.

Pharmaceutical corporations and their medical representatives, who bribe doctors all over Uganda, are to blame for this. And now, with the fear of Covid-19 and the new flu spreading everywhere, it's a celebration for these companies. They can sell tests, disinfectants, drugs for every separate symptom. And in case of death, blame it all on the epidemic. I see all of this, and it disgusts me».

Sarah Njeri:   «Do you mean that all modern hypertension medications are ineffective?»

Dr. Samuel Achilefu:   «The blood pressure medications that are officially prescribed to people serve an important function: they take money out of the patients' pockets and put it into the pockets of medical oligarchs.

These are legalized narcotics. Think about it. A patient takes a pill, their condition improves. The effect of the medication wears off, and blood pressure rises again. That's how all narcotics work. To feel good, you need to seek a new «dose»

The most important thing they need to understand is that in emergency situations, 'chemical' medications are necessary and important. They save lives when urgent help is needed. For example, during World War I, heroin was used on the battlefield so that the wounded wouldn't die from pain shock.

 But if you take pills constantly, they destroy the body. Just like heroin. Not as quickly, but the principle of action is the same. And to get rid of side effects, they'll sell you more pills. And much more. The more, the better for pharmacies and the pharmaceutical industry».

Sarah Njeri: «But people live for many years while taking medications!»

Dr. Samuel Achilefu: «Drug addicts can also live quite long. But what kind of life is that?

When joints hurt. When not-so-old men barely over 50 suffer from prostatitis and lose their potency. When kidneys fail and start suffering from edema. First, the legs swell, making walking difficult. Then, internal organs. So much so that the stomach becomes as round as a barrel.
